Shelburne Free Press & Economist, Wednesday, April 5, 1987 - Page 4 - HERBERT G. McCAGUE: There passed away Saturday morning, March 23rd, 1957, in Brampton Hospital, after a few months' illness, Herbert Garfield McCague. He was in his 66th year.

The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William McCague, of Relessey, in June, 1918, he was married to Sara Kirkpatrick, who survives him.

The couple spent most of their days in Shelburne district, until they moved to Brampton, three years ago.

The funeral was held from the Gamble Funeral Home, Shelburne, on Monday, March 25th, at 2.30 p.m.

Service was conducted by Mr. C. Cowan, assisted by Mr. S. Rickman, at the graveside.

A favorite hymn was sung by Miss Whyte, Miss Harper, Miss Munro and Mr. Rickman.

Interment was made in Shelburne cemetery.

Thoses surviving besides his wife are one brother, Andy, of Beeton, and 6 sisters: (Annie), Mrs. George Newton; (Ettie), Mrs. Arthur Kirkpatrick; (Violet), Mrs. J. A. Fines; (Zella), Mrs. Harry Service; (Reta), Mrs. Edwin Whitten, all of Shelburne, and (Velma), Mrs. Roy McRitchie, of Hanover.

Pallbearers were Messrs. Grenville McCague, Percy Kirkpatrick, Keith Kirkpatrick, Eldon Service, Austin Whitten and Maurice Newton.

A large number of friends gathered from different centres to attend the service.
