Cherry, Forest (Frosty) Lloyd
Was born on November 16, 1938 and passed away suddenly on January 21, 2016, at the age of 77 years. Frosty is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Deanna; children Doug (Sandy), Ron (Melissa), Daryl (Carmen); grandchildren Shawn (Tanya), Darcy (Abby), Kyle (Chloe), Colin (Alyssa), Nicole, Stefan (Kristi), Jenna (TJ); great- grandchildren Adria, Dawson, Tesla, Heatley, Easton, Cache, Linden, sister Grace, brother Lorne (Betty); sister-in-law Addie and numerous extended family and friends. Frosty was predeceased by his father Robert, mother Edith, brothers Wilf, Vern and sister Vera. Frosty was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and this is where he met Deanna and started their family. Looking for a change, Frosty and Deanna decided to move the family west in 1971 and ventured out to Prince George, BC. Frosty embraced what Prince George and the north offered, he loved to curl in the winter and spent the summers camping, fishing and golfing with family and friends. He opened his own automotive business with his son (Doug) in 1978 and retired from the business in 1996. Frosty and Deanna spent many winters traveling to Arizona with friends and this sense of adventure brought much joy and happiness to his life. In 2001 Frosty and Deanna retired to Kelowna, BC to enjoy a life of golf, leisure and sunshine. Being the social butterfly he was, they made numerous friends with whom they enjoyed many, many happy hours with! In 2014 Frosty and Deanna decided to return to Prince George to be with their growing family. Family was everything to Frosty, he held them near and dear to his heart - something that was evident to all by the pride he had in his family. The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the paramedics, nurses and doctors who all took care of Frosty in his time of need. A tribute to Frosty will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers we ask that you raise a glass and have 'one' in honor of Frosty. Cheers!

Cherry, Deanna (Grace) Born June 22, 1939 - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother Deanna, on January 10, 2017. Surrounded by her family, she passed away peacefully after her long and heroic battle with COPD. Deanna was predeceased by her beloved husband Forest (Frosty). She is survived by her loving children Doug (Sandy), Ron, Daryl (Carmen), grandchildren Shawn (Tanya), Darcy (Abby), Kyle (Chloe), Colin (Alyssa), Nicole, Stefan (Kristi), Jenna (TJ), and eight great- grandchildren plus numerous extended family and friends. Deanna was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and on August 30, 1958 she married the love of her life Forest "Frosty" Cherry. In 1971, 13 years after starting their family, Deanna and Forest left the Prairies to build a new life in Prince George, BC. Deanna spent the next 30 years cherishing her role of loving wife and mother; raising three boys; building a career; becoming a Gramma and creating lifelong friendships. In 2001 she and Frosty decided it was time to leave Prince George winters behind and move south. They spent the next 14 years in Kelowna reuniting with old friends and making new ones. By 2014 Deanna's battle with COPD was increasing and she and Frosty decided it was time to return to Prince George to be close to family. In her heyday Deanna loved to dance and nobody could match her and Frosty on the dance floor. She had such passion for shopping, baking and entertaining. Family was extremely important to Deanna and she treasured every moment she shared with them - not a birthday or special occasion passed by that she didn't acknowledge. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all of the staff, nurses and doctors at Gateway and the UHNBC. We would also like to send a special thanks to Deanna's personal caregiver Lynn, who meant so much to Deanna over the past two years. There will be a celebration of life for both Deanna and Frosty to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the British Columbia Lung Association.
