Born and raised in Saskatoon, Audrey was a familiar face to many of the long term residents of the city. Some may remember Audrey in her younger years when her beautiful singing voice accompanied services and gatherings at the First Baptist Church. Audrey spent her early married years raising six children. It was a busy household, but one with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There were many family gatherings and celebrations, and every one of them was sure to include extended family and friends. Audrey went to work in the retail sector for 25 years where she developed lifelong friendships with her coworkers and customers. After retirement she was a member of Eastern Star/Areme Circle as well as the Hub City Wanderers trailer club. Throughout her life Audrey enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting. She was known for her ability to continue one project after another, picking them up and taking them with her wherever she went! She loved to travel and would take the opportunity whenever it came her way. Audrey participated in group camping during the summer by visiting various Saskatchewan destinations with the trailer club. She joined friends in various bus tours throughout Canada and the United States and even ventured into Florida in a long haul semi with her son behind the wheel. But by far her favorite destination was Hawaii. She returned to the islands many times for several winter vacations and developed a wealth of knowledge about the Hawaiian people and their culture. Audrey will be remembered for her sociable nature, her enduring energy and her unwavering dedication to her family and close friends. She leaves a great void in her trail.
