Channell, one of the best known senior citizens of this community passed away at the Sherbrooke Hospital on Monday, January 24, in his 92 year. Ernie was a fixture of this community for all of his nearly 92 years. He will best be remembered as the owner of the old Olympic Skating Rink at Stanstead where several generations did much of their growing up. The funeral will be held at Christ Anglican Church, Stanstead, on Friday, January 28 at 2 p.m. 7. (Marion) McFadden of Smith's Falls were unable to be present due to their health. Local relatives were also in attendance at the service.
