Orangeville Shelburne Free Press - December 1, 1921 - JOHN ELDRED LITTLE: Sincere sympathy is being freely expressed in town for Wm. J. Little, Joseph street, whose only son and child, John Eldred Little, departed this life at his home on Monday evening after only a week's illness from pleurisy and pneumonia, at the early age of 15 years, 5 months and 15 days. Mr. Little, it will be remembered, disposed of his farm at Camilla about five weeks ago, and came to Shelburne to reside, where he purposed giving his son his high school education. On Monday evening of last week the deceased contracted pleurisy, followed by pneumonia, and despite the best of care, medical attention and nursing, but little hope was held out for his recovery from the first, and he passed away on Monday evening of this week. The deceased was a bright young lad and in the short time he had resided in Shelburne, he made many friends, both young and old. His mother died eight years ago on the same date, Nov. 28th. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon of this week, service being held at the home at one o'clock, after which the remains were taken to Orangeville for interment in the family plot in Forest Lawn cemetery. Rev. W. H. Hartley, rector of St. Paul's church, was in charge of the services. 3.
