Rested at the Dods and McNair Funeral Home, First St. and Second Ave., Orangeville. Service was held on Monday at 2 p.m. Spring interment - Forest Lawn Cemetery. G.T. Walker George Thomas Walker, 80 of 293 Broadway, Orangeville died in Dufferin Area Hospital Dec. 1, 1978 following a brief illness. Mr. Walker was born in Laurel, Ontario, the son of Robert Walker and Mary Black. He attended Laurel Public School. He married Sadie Little at St. Mark's Church, Orangeville in 1932. Since then, they made their home on West Broadway. Mr. Walker had pursued a number of careers. He was an auto mechanic and afterwards a freight employee. He worked for the Grigg Company. He also worked as a Toronto Transit Commission Motorman before returning to Orangeville where he worked at Dufferin Area Hospital. Mr. Walker was a member of St. Mark's Anglican Church. He is survived by his wife Sadie; his brothers Rev. R.A. Walker, Lampman, Saskatchewan, Homer Walker, Waterloo, Ont. Irwin Walker, Orangeville, and his sisters Mrs. Louie Alderman, and Mrs. Ivadelle Dodenhoff, Belle Vallee, Ontario. Funeral services, held Dec. 4, 1978 from the Dods and McNair Funeral Home, were conducted by the Rev. David Hamilton. Committal service was held at the funeral home. Spring interment is in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Orangeville. Married 30 Aug 1932 Orangeville, Ontario, Canada (46 years married) to: Sarah Jane Little, daughter of William James Little and Hannah Twible.
