Shelburne Free Press & Economist, July 8, 1943, page 3 LITTLE-RAINE: A quiet but pretty wedding took place on Wednesday, June 30th, 1943 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred. H. Raine, Orangeville, when their youngest daughter, Ruth Gladys, became the bride of Mr. Clifford Little, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Little, Primrose. Rev. J. K. Braham, Camilla, officiated. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a street-length dress of powder blue sheer, with shoulder length veil. Mrs. Ronald Kingshott, Huttonville, dressed in rose crepe with shoulder length veil, was her sister's attendant. Both wore corsages of American Beauty roses. The groomsman was Mr. Russell Little, of Primrose, brother of the groom. A dainty super was served to the immediate families by Mrs. K. Halbert and Miss Mina Simpson. The young couple left on a motor trip to Southern points, the bride traveling in a beige linen suit with blue accessories. They will reside on the groom's farm near Camilla. She will be sadly missed by her brother John Raine (Honor), sister-in-law Doris Ferris and son-in-law Wayne. Hurontarian, Wednesday, December 10, 1980, page 2 OBITUARY - CLIFFORD LITTLE, MONO NATIVE DIES IN HOSPITAL:On Tuesday, November 4, 1980, Clifford LIttle passed peacefully away at Shelburne District Hospital after a short illness. He was in his 70th year. Born and raised on the Blind Line, Mono Township, he was the eldest son of Albert Little and Harriett Lindsay. He received his education at Mono Dell School. On June 30, 1943, he married Ruth Raine and after farming in Mono, Mulmur and Melancthon townships, they retired to Shelburne in November 1973. He was a member of Horning's Mills United Church. He is survived by his wife and four children, Beth Fillier of Toronto, Hazel Ireland and Lesley Laughlin of Collingwood, and Alan of Shelburne; two grandchildren, Karen and Jason. Also surviving are two sisters, Doris Ferris, Shelburne and Muriel Roberts, Bolton, and three brothers, William Collins of Yanbu, Saudi Arabia and Maurice and Beverley of Shelburne. He was predeceased by three brothers, Lindsay, Winslowe and Russell. The funeral service was held at the Gamble Funeral Home Thursday, November 6, with Rev. Joyce M'Cardell officiating. Burial was in Shelburne Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Richardson, Dan Little, John and Howard Raine, George Buchanan, and Neil Madill.
