Hodgson Was Toronto MD 45 Years Dr. Edwin G. Hodgson of Oakville, who practiced medicine in Toronto for more than 45 years, died yesterday in Clarkson after a long illness. Dr. Hodgson lived on Reynolds St. in Oakville. Born in Exeter, Ont. Dr. Hodgson graduated from Trinity College and the University of Toronto in 1906, after which he did graduate work in medicine in London and Edinburgh. During the First World War, Dr. Hodgson served in France as an officer of the Royal Army Medical Corps. He served on the staff of Toronto General Hospital and Wellesley Hospital until his retirement in 1951, and in 1952 he was awarded a life fellowship in the Academy of Medicine. A prominent member of the Anglican Church, for many years Dr. Hodgson took an active part in fraternal and religious affairs. He was a member of the Harcourt Lodge AF and AM and past master of Georgina Lodge AF and AM. He also served as the Rector's Warden in St. Paul's Anglican Church, Bloor St. E. He was a member of the Rosedale Golf Club. He is survived by his wife, May Andrew Hodgson, of Oakville. The body is at A. W. Miles Funeral Home. Service will be held at St. Paul's Church at 2:30 pm Thursday. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. 3.
