Peacefully in the Brockville General Hospital on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. A World War II Juno Beach veteran and a proud Canadian. As the owner of Russ Perkins BA/Gulf/Petrocan; Russ felt fortunate to meet and know so many members of the Brockville community. Husband of the late Gwendolyn Carol Bell. Father of Frances Bouchier of Laguna Niguel, California and Russell Perkins of Ottawa. Grandfather of Sarah Perkins of Ottawa, John Perkins of Ottawa and Kathryn Argue (Shawn) of Stittsville. Great Grandfather of Mila Argue and Sydney Argue. Special thanks to Johanne, Rob, Katelynn and Abby Huskinson for their friendship and support over many years; to Marielle Payant for her friendship and support; to Dan Murray for his friendship and Bev Pattemore for his friendship and for driving Russ to Legion lunches. Thanks also to the staff, nurses and doctors in Emergency and on the Second Floor at Brockville General Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects for a Celebration of Life at the IRVINE FUNERAL HOME, 4 James St. E., Brockville on Friday, October 4th from 1-3 in the Reception Centre. Officers and members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 96 are invited to gather for a legion memorial service at 1pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville General Hospital or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 96 Poppy Fund will be gratefully acknowledged.
