OBITUARY for MarjorieA. Heath; recent residence: Newport, VT; published by Curtis-Britch & Bouffard Funeral Homes-Newport. MarjorieA. Heath, 91, of Newport, passed away in Newport on Tuesday, February 21, 2006. She was born in Stanstead, PQ on March 18, 1914, the daughter of Edgar and Ellen (Farrow) Brock. On August 17, 1935 Marjorie married Oscar Heath, who predeceased her in 1967. She and Oscar ran the Old Baldwin farm in Stanstead, where they processed and delivered their milk, and also had a sugar place. They moved to the states in the mid 1940’s. Marjorie enjoyed needlepoint and making handmade dolls. She was very creative and was involved in many different areas of arts and crafts. She also wrote several children’s stories for magazines. Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Jean Humphrey of Reading, Massachusetts, and Blanche Townsend of Muncie, Indiana, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Henry and by her sister Florence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25 at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, Darling Hill Road, Newport (formerly Sias Ave.) at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. John Keenan officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m until the time of the service on Saturday. Spring interment will take place at the Crystal Lake cemetery in Stanstead, PQ. Should friends desire, contributions in Marjorie’s memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226, Attn: Contribution Services.
