OBITUARY for Charles Marshall; recent residence: Wilmington, OH; published by Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home. CharlesW. MarshallSr., 78, of Wilmington died Monday, Feb. 23, 2015 at his residence. He was born May 22, 1936 in Fayette County, son of the late Hezekiah Marshall and Virginia Hullett Marshall Rice. Mr. Marshall worked as a plasterer and was a member of the Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons Local #1 out of Dayton. He was an avid fisherman and had received several awards from the State of Ohio including numerous Fish Ohio Awards and Ohio Master Angler Awards. Mr. Marshall is survived by two sons, CharlesW. Marshall Jr. of Cincinnati and Mark (Melanie) Marshall of Burlington, Ky.; five daughters, MaryAnn (Barry) Allen of Lees Creek, Connie Sue Murphy of Winchester, Judy McKinney of Hillsboro, Sandy (Ron) Byrd of Tignall, Ga., and Martha (Andy) Holmes of Wilmington; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, an infant daughter, five brothers, Bill Marshall, George Marshall, Johnny Marshall, Hezekiah Marshall I and Hezekiah Marshall II, and four sisters, Elizabeth Wheeler Gray, Martha Jane Huston, Louise Wheeler and Virginia Meddock are preceded in death. A memorial service will be held 5 p.m., Sunday, March 1 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South St., Wilmington.
