RUTH MILDRED (TOMLIN) SMITH LOONEY, 82, of Chenoweth Fork Road, Piketon, Ohio died 5:30 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at her home.

She was born January 31, 1932 in Buchanan, Kentucky the daughter of the late James Tomlin and Florence Bell (Stewart) Tomlin. Ruth was united in marriage to Harold "Max" Smith and Ernest Eldon Looney who both preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons, Harold Ray Smith and wife Patty, Gerald Jay Smith and wife Robin and Bradley Shay Smith and wife Wanda, all of Piketon, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Chrysian, Justin, Adam, Anna, Destiny, Jeffrey, Hannah, Steven and Stephanie; three great-grandchildren, Aynna, Jasmine and Mckenzie; brother, Elmer Tomlin and wife Phyllis of Piketon; two sisters, Freda Ealey and Katie Reed, both of Piketon, Ohio.

Her parents, husband, three brothers, Raymond Tomlin, James Tomlin and John Tomlin, three sisters, Dorothy Spurgeon, Lillian Tomlin and Pauline Finley and three infant siblings preceded her in death.

Ruth was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio with Rev. Frank Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in Ladd Ridge Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio.
