Henry "Dean" Weber passed away peacefully at the Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home on September 5, 2016. Dean Weber was born on June 30, 1925 in Edinburg, Texas. His childhood was spent in the Edinburg area on the family farm located on Trenton and Tower Roads. After World War II, Dean lived in Donna, Texas and eventually retired to the family farm. Most recently he resided at Adobe Wells in McAllen. Dean enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with his family. He traveled throughout North America, South America, and Africa and enjoyed sharing his travel memories with loved ones.
Dean Weber proudly served his country in the US Navy during World War II. After WWII, he worked at Weslaco Motor and Implement until his retirement as shop foreman in 1990.
Dean was pre-deceased by his first wife Gertrude Hatton Weber, his parents Hava Marie and Mark Weber, his daughter Patsy and son-in-law Dixon Phillips, two grand-children, Pam and R. D. Phillips, and Pam's daughter, Brittney Flores.
He is survived by his son, Ronnie (Sylvia) Hatton; his wife Anna Marie Crabtree Weber, married in 2010; his sister, Dorothy (+Gene) Edmundson; three grandchildren Marla Beth (Mark) Scott, David (Lisa) Hatton, and Michelle (Forrest) Manning; and seven great-grandchildren.
Special appreciation is extended to the administration and staff of the Memory Unit of the Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home for the exemplary care provided to Dean during the preceding three years. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Gracia Hospice for their support and care during the final weeks of Dean's life.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen, Texas. CHAN: _WT_USER phild
