Phyllis A. Weideman, age 91, formerly of Waupun, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Patriot Place in Berlin. Phyllis had resided with her daughter Mary in Berlin since May 2016.
Phyllis was born on January 4, 1926, in Beaver Dam, a daughter of Russell and Linda (Pettack) Drake. On September 20, 1946, she was united in marriage to George Weideman in Beaver Dam, WI. Phyllis was employed at Gambles and Godshall Pharmacy in Waupun until her retirement. She loved watching NASCAR races, Packers games and enjoyed gambling at the casinos. Phyllis was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, taught kindergarten Sunday School for many years and was active in ladies aid.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Ken Weideman and his fiancé, Betty Vande Kolk of Fond du Lac; daughter, Mary (Gary) Hopp of Berlin; three grandsons, Travis ( Sarah) Hopp of Neshkoro, Terry ( Jessica) Hopp of Minneapolis, MN, Benjamin Hopp (special friend, Kara Felcan ) of Berlin; grand-dogs, Chewie and Mavrick; one sister, Barb Shonts of Beaver Dam; two brothers, Richard Drake of Beaver Dam and Robert (Murial) Drake of Lubbock, TX; two sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years in 2011, three brothers, Ken, Roger and Russell; two sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 525 West Main Street, Waupun, with a Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment will take place at Forest Mound Cemetery.
