BEAVER DAM - Richard F. Drake, 89, of Beaver Dam, WI, was called home to be with the Lord and to be reunited with his wife, Winogene on Friday, June 21, 2024.
Richard was born on December 8, 1934 in Beaver Dam, a son of Russell and Linda (Pettack) Drake. He was united in marriage to Winogene Hopp on February 25, 1955.
Richard was employed by Monarch Range and finished his career at Masterprint. He was a member at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
His passions in life were spending quality time with family, nature, and his love for Jesus. His hobbies included gardening, camping, hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was a caring and generous man and his family is sure he was greeted in heaven by "Well done, good and faithful servant . . ." Matthew 25:23
Richard is survived by three children: Scott (Karen) Drake of Beaver Dam, Sheryl (Joel) Stancer of Beaver Dam and Kris (Karl) Golz of Princeton, WI; five grandchildren: Jeremy (Beth) Drake, Jason (Kayla) Drake, Steven (Debbie Hafenstein) Drake, Benjamin (Stephanie) Golz and Erin (Joshua) Reed; eight great-grandchildren: Theodore and Kendrick Drake, Logan and Hudson Drake, Alivia Kluttermann, Valerie and Waylon Golz and Greyson Reed; sister, Barbra Shonts; sisters-in-law: Marlynn Krause, Patricia Hopp, and Jackie Drake; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Winogene; his infant grandson, Cory Walker; his brothers: Ken, Roger, Russell and Robert; sister, Phyllis Weideman; and other relatives.
A memorial gathering for Richard will take place on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Jim Wendt officiating. Inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
