ELIZABETH BIRD

Elisabeth Ann Bird, 41, of Stevenson, Wash., died Thursday, Oct. 16, 1997.

She was born on Aug. 30, 1956, in Waupun, the youngest daughter of Norris and Mary Ann Bird. She married Brian Symes in Boston, Mass., in 1979.

She received a bachelor’s degree in library science at Simons College in Boston and a master’s degree in counseling at University of Portland in May of 1997.

Survivors include her parents; a son. Lorne, and a daughter, Isabel, both of Portland, Ore.; her fiancé, Richard Severs of Stevenson, Wash., five brothers, Michael of Oshkosh and his children, Mary and William of Slinger, and Michael at home, John and his wife Barbara of Black Earth, Steve and his wife Sandy of Venice, Fla., and their children, Greg of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Andrea of Tallahassee, Fla., Phil and his wife Luann of Oshkosh; and their children, Elizabeth and Thomas at home, and Joseph of Fond du Lac; and two sisters, Maggie McCullough and her husband Steve, and their son, Matt of Fond du Lac, and Meidana “Patty” Pursifull and her husband Rajiam and their children, Eli, Mary and Rosalie, all of Portland, Ore.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, and a nephew, Adam McCullough.

Services: A Memorial Mass will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac.

Visitation: At the church on Friday, Nov. 21, from 5:30 p.m. to the time of services. A reception will follow the service.
