Blair Gough Obituary
Blair Herbert Gough, a valiant fighter, was sadly defeated on April 30th, 2016. Blair will be best remembered by all those who knew and loved him as the guy you want in your corner; razor smart, bold, tenacious, witty and kind. Blair was first and foremost devoted to his family. He and his wife, Nancy, of 38 years proudly raised four outstanding boys, Alex, Ben, Chris and Dan. This circle was enriched by Naomi, Heather and the precious Madelynn and Matilda. Blair's mom, Helen, his twin brother, Brian, his twin sisters, Sara and Cindy, his deceased sister, Carolyn and his deceased father, Herbert as well as his countless friends and business acquaintances were also very impacted by the larger than life persona that was Blair. Although Blair battled significant health issues over his life, it was his underlying embrace of defiance against any oppressor be it political, societal or physical that defined his steely resolve. He will forever be remembered.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Carlisle United Church, 1432 Centre Road, Carlisle, Ontario, on Thursday, May 5th at 3:00 p.m. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Georgian Bluffs. Memorial donations may be made to the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation or Southlake Regional Health Centre would be greatly appreciated and may be made through the BRIAN E.
