Baskets of white chrysanthemums decorated St. Paul's Anglican Church, Shelburne, on Saturday, November 4, 1961, for a wedding ceremony at 3 o'clock, when Rev. J. M. Dobson united in marriage Ruth Marie Wake, daughter of Mrs. Gordon Acheson of Proton Station and the late Allan Wake, and Reginald Ernest Little, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Little of Shelburne. Miss Grace Tipling of Shelburne played the wedding music.

Given in marriage by her brother, Douglas Wake of Rosemont, the bride wore a floor-length gown of white Italian peau de soie. The fitted bodice had a round appliqued lace neckline, long lily-pointed sleeves and cummerbund, and the long skirt ended in a chapel train. Her elbow length veil was held by a tiara of rhinestones and pearls. She carried a white Bible with a shower of white and red rosebuds with white streamers.
The bride's sister, Miss Emily Wake of Toronto, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Robert Avis of Flesherton, a sister of the bride, and Miss Mary Jane Little of Shelburne, a sister of the groom. The bride's niece, Denise Wake, of Rosemont, was the flower-girl, wearing red velvet. She carried a basket of white carnations.
