Mrs. Jane Cherry
84, matriarch of six sons, three daughters, who died at her residence, 321 Avenue V, south last Tuesday. The funeral service was held at Park Funeral Chapel on Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Wilkinson.
Mrs. Cherry had lived in Smithville and in Saskatoon since 1896, 17 years after she came to Canada from Ireland, her native land. Her husband, William Cherry, predeceased her last October.
Surviving members of the family now living in rural Saskatoon are Mrs. W.W. Pollock, Mrs. J.R. Mitchell, R.J. Cherry and Edward Cherry. Another daughter, Mrs. W.L. Rogers, lives at 421 Avenue D, south. The remaining sons are W.J. Cherry, Luseland; J.H. Cherry, Sutherland; George Cherry, 311 Avenue U, south; Theodore Cherry, Branch, Michigan.

CHERRY - The funeral service of Jane Cherry of 321 Avenue V. south, Saskatoon, who died on December 23, 1947 was held from Park Funeral Chapel on December 27, 1947, at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Dr. Wilkinson. Pallbearers were Lawrence Pollock, Ted Cherry, Ernest Cherry, Stewart Mitchell, Wilfred Cherry, Kenneth Cherry. Burial took place in the family plot of Woodlawn Cemetery.
