Shelburne Free Press & Economist - June 21, 1978 - OBITUARY - HARRIET ELIZABETH LITTLE:
Harriett Elizabeth Little passed away on May 30, 1978, at the home of her daughter Doris, where she had lived for the past two years. Born on October 18, 1886 in Mono Township to the late Letitia and Joseph Lindsay, she attended school at Bentich, near Durham. Returning to Mono at age 16, where she later married the late Albert Little. Together they farmed on Lot 27, Conc. 2 Mono, till the death of her husband on July 13, 1953.

Until 1976, she maintained the home for her two youngest sons at Mono Dell and took great pleasure in looking after the flowers and enjoyed the company of her family and friends.

She was a member of St. James Church, Primrose, and also a member of Elba Women's Institute.

Those who mourn the loss of a loving and devoted mother are Clifford, Shelburne; Wm. Collins, of Fox Creek, Alberta; Doris (Mrs. Mervyn Ferris), Shelburne; Muriel (Mrs. George Roberts), Bolton; and Maurice and Beverly, Shelburne; one brother, Norman Lindsay, Shelburne, also 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by sons Lindsay of Orillia in Jan. 1959; Winslow, of California in June, 1970, and Russell of Mount Forest in Oct. 1972; also three brothers, Robert and Gordon of Saskatchewan, and Perry of Shelburne.

The funeral was from the Gamble Funeral Home on June 1, with Rev. M. McDermott officiating.

Pall bearers were Fletcher Riddell of Durham; Wm. Richardson and Dan Little of Orangeville; Alan Little and Mervyn Ferris of Shelburne and George Roberts of Bolton.

The beautiful flower arrangements were carried by grandchildren. Interment was in Shelburne Cemetery.
