Oct 4,1920 - May 5, 2011 Jack passed away May 5, 2011 at Nanaimo, Dufferin Place, Cedar Wing after a lengthy illness. He was predeceased by his wife Edith and daughter Donna. Jack is survived by his children Lorraine, Denise, Fred, Rick and Jack, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.Jack spent his life with The Armed Forces serving across Canada, Europe and served in WW2 and the Korean War. His life was his Regiment, The Royal Canadian Regiment 1st Battalion. He also served and belonged to The Korean Veterans Association and 808 Wing here in Nanaimo for a number of years. A viewing will be held on Wednesday May 11 at First Memorial Funeral Home here in Nanaimo from 2-4pm and a full service will take place in Uxbridge . Ont. Dad was loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Uxbridge Chapel

Peacefully after a lengthy illness on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the age of 90 at Dufferin Center, Nanaimo, B.C. Jack was predeceased by his wife Edith and daughter Donna. Jack is survived by his children Jack (Susan), Lorraine, Fred (Marg), Rick (Karen) and Denise, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Jack spent a majority of his life with the Armed Forces serving across Canada and Europe. He also served in WW2 and the Korean War before settling in Goodwood and then retiring in Nanaimo, B.C. A visitation was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S. Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service was held in the chapel on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment Uxbridge Cemetery. Reception followed. In Jack’s memory, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 170 – Poppy Fund.
