Corah has received various scholarships and awards throughout her university career, including the St. Jerome's University Board of Governors-Faculty of Arts Scholarship, David E. Wright Scholarship, Pierre Elliott Trudeau Scholarship, and the Elliot T. Grasett Award from the Canadian Federation of University Women, Kitchener-Waterloo. During convocation Corah received the St. Jerome's University Department of History Award and the Department of Sociology Award for Highest Academic Achievement, along with the University of Waterloo-Distinguished Academic Achievement Award in Sociology. Currently a Student Research Associate with the Centre on Foreign Policy and Federalism, Corah will be pursuing her Master's in History at the University of Waterloo in the fall. "Corah is the most exceptional undergraduate student that I have encountered in my fifteen years of university teaching," says Dr. Whitney Lackenbauer, a professor of history at St. Jerome's, with whom she is working as a Research Assistant this summer and who will be supervising her Master's thesis. "I see her as a true academic star - she displays an intellectual maturity far beyond her years, excels in various disciplines, and is unquestionably ready to excel in graduate school. She is certainly most deserving of the prestigious scholarship that she has received to support her Master's work." Corah is the daughter of Lynn and Bruce Hodgson, and the granddaughter of Barb and the late Jim Squirrell of Horning's Mills and the late Margaret and late George Hodgson of Primrose. Corah, with your smile, passion, drive, ingenuity, and voice, you can change the world. Congratulations! With all our love, your family.</p>
