Miss Florence Brock, daughter of Edward Brock, Stanstead and Mr Dexter Leroy Schaffner, of Malden Mass., were married at Christ Church, Stanstead, Saturday Feb 15, Rev. George Harrington conducting the ceremony. The only attendants were Mr and Mrs Oscar Heath. Stanstead Journal Feb 20 1941

Members of the Women’s Institute gathered at the home of Mrs. Chas. L. Bliss in honor of Mrs. Dexter Schaffner, formerly Florence Brock, a recent bride, who was very much surprised to meet about 50 of her friends. Mrs. Schaffner recieved many useful and pretty gifts. refreshments were supplied by the Women’s institute and served by the Girl Guides. Mrs Arthur E Curtis, president of the Institute and Mrs. O.W. Heath poured tea. Mrs. Schaffner espressed her sincere thanks for the kindness shown her. Stanstead Journal Feb 27, 1941
