Dennis Edward Middlehurst passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age
of 86, with his caring daughters (Debbie, Laurie & Lesley) and his grandson
Brandon, by his side. Dennis was born September 27, 1938, in Ontario.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents Clifford & Elizabeth (aka: Patsy),
his brother Ross, and his daughter Sandra (aka Sam). He is survived by
his children Barry (Jessica), Mike (Dianne), Christine (Lyle), Debbie (Peter),
Laurie (Lesley) & Tim (Wendy), so many grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
and close friends in both Orangeville & Ingoldsby.
Dennis was an incredibly hard-working man, and it shows in all the children
he was proud to have raised. Dennis founded Hi-Quality Carbide Tooling
Inc. in 1980 and worked alongside many of his children, until Dennis’s
well-earned retirement. He was always a big dreamer and a huge music
fan of both Alabama and Dire Straits. Dennis loved cars and enjoyed sharing
stories of his first brand new car; a 1957 Chev. If you couldn’t find Dennis
mowing the lawn, fishing, boating or woodworking & building planters for
family and friends, then you were sure to find him reading the newspaper,
watching history shows or enjoying a nap on his recliner with a dog on his lap.
To honour Dennis, a private celebration of life, will take place in the spring.
