Gail Lenore O'Brine

  General Notes:

RANDALL Gail (nee. O'Brine) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, after a lengthy battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the age of 78. Deeply loved by her husband David and her daughters Wendy (Gino Palermo) and Penny Freeman. Proud and loving grandmother of Emily, Olivia, Erica and Mike. Dear sister of Erin (Robert Hill) and sister-in-law of Jack Randall (Elinor) and Jim Randall. Also survived by many nieces, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents Marjorie (Crick) and Earle O'Brine and brother Brian O'Brine.

Gail went to school at Pelham High School, where she met her husband Dave Randall "Nip". She was employed as a bookkeeper at the family business Kirkpatrick & O'Brine Monuments for more than 25 years. She previously worked at Union Carbide then taking the time to raise her two daughters. She volunteered at the Welland County Humane Society and the Welland Hospital.

Her strength, courage and sheer determination drew many people to her. Those who knew her closely appreciated her listening ear. She was a great cook and we will miss her apple pie. Gail was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

The family will receive friends at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, May 25th from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. A service to celebrate Gail's life will be held in the Cudney Chapel on Saturday, May 26th at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Fonthill Cemetery

A heartfelt thank you to the Palliative Care team from CCAC whose amazing care and genuine compassion allowed Gail to spend her final days in the comfort of her own home.
