Actress. Perhaps best remembered for her role as Louise Carey in "The Incredible Shrinking Man" (1957). Born Elizabeth Shaubell in Iola KS, to musicians John and Gladys Shaubell. Stuart first started started as a regular on "The Jack Carson Show" in 1946. Her first film role was in "The Foxes of Harrow" (1947), hse later appeared in "Sitting Pretty" (1948) and "Apartment for Peggy" (1948). She made a brief appearance in "All About Eve" (1950). After her last film role in 1958, Stuart appeared in television shows such as "Bliff Barker U.S.A" (1952 - 1953), "Cheyenne" (1955 - 1962), and "Bonanza" (1959 - 1973). Stuart was married four times. First to Kenneth Smith from 1943 to 1945, Edward George from 1947 to 1954, Lane Allen (Albert Wootten) from 1954 to 1968, and Ernest Wallis from 1971 to his death in 1982. Her first three marriages ended in divorce, though she would have four children with her second and third husband.
