Susan Sorge, Wayne Anderson
The engagement of Susan Jane Sorge to Wayne James Anderson was announced this week by Mr. and Mrs. Jay Wootten Sorge of Grosse Pointe. Susan is a graduate of the University-Liggett School, Bennett College and the University of Michigan. She made her debut at a ball at the Country Club of Detroit in June, 1969. She is a member of the Tau Beta Association.

Wayne is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford E. Anderson of Orchard Lake. He is a graduate of the Howe Military Academy, Northwestern University. and the graduate school of the University of Michigan. He is currently associated with the C. E. Anderson Company, of which his father is the president.

A fall wedding is planned.

James Anderson-Susan Sorge
Susan Jane Sorge became the bride of James Wayne Anderson Saturday in an afternoon ceremony at the Christ Episcopal Church of Grosse Pointe.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Sorge of Grosse Pointe. James is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Anderson of Orchard Lake.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Country Club of Detroit.

For her wedding Susan wore a gown of ivory satin organza designed with a high waist, mandarin neckline and long bishop sleeves. Appliques of re-embroidered Alencon lace trimmed the bodice and hem as well as the demi-hat which secured a bouffant veil of imported silk illusion. She carried a cascade of Eucharis lilies, stephanotis and ivy.

Her mother and Mrs. Anderson both chose floor length gowns adorned with cynbidium orchids for the ceremony.

Virginia Wilderotter of Grand Blanc served as the maid of honor, with Laurie Holmstrom, Muskegon; Lisa Finkenstaedt, Grosse Pointe; Geri Tata, East Lansing; Louise Wright, Grosse Pointe, and Susan's sister-in-law Mrs. Jay Sorge Jr., of St. Clair Shores as the bridesmaids.

Charles Moon III of Ann Arbor was the best man, with Raymond Glynn, Seattle, Wash.; Peter Mattingly, New York; Frank Mandlebaum, Troy, and Susan's brothers Jay and David of St. Clair Shores and Grosse Pointe as the ushers.

Susan and James will make their home in Ann Arbor following an extended holiday in Spain.
