Shelburne Free Press & Economist, February 22, 1950 - SARAH MARTHA JACKSON: Miss Sarah Martha Jackson passed away at Lord Dufferin Hospital, Orangeville, on Feb. 4, 1950, after a short illness. Deceased, in her 78th year, was a daughter of the late William Jackson and Mary Ann Little, of Mono Township. She was one of a family of twelve. Predeceased are Nathan, Alice, Frances, Mary Ellen, George, William, David, James, Robert and Bertha. Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Bellerby, Shelburne.
The late Miss Jackson had made her home in Shelburne for the last 26 years, after leaving the farm in Mono.
The funeral service, which took place from the Gamble Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 6th, was conducted by Rev. Dr. H. H. Hutcheson. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Walter Little, Charles Jackson, Ed. Stinson, Stanley Summerfield, Charles Bellerby and Gerald Clowes.
Friends attended the funeral from Owen Sound, Orangeville, Oakville, Brampton, Newton Robinson, Toronto and Bradford.
