Christian married Isabelle Jackson, daughter of David WIlliam Jackson and Bertha M Clarke, on 4 May 1940 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. (Isabelle Jackson was born in 1912 and died in 2002.)

SORENSON-JACKSON: At a quiet ceremony on May 4th, at 1098 Davenport Road, Toronto, Rev. J. A. Hilts solemnized the marriage of Miss Isabelle Jackson, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dave Jackson, to Mr. Christopher Sorenson, of Camilla, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Soren Sorenson. The bride, given in marriage by her brother Charles, wore a gown of heaven blue crepe with rosebud trimmings and white straw hat with veil. She wore a corsage if forget-me-nots and pink sweet peas. Miss Grace Chippendale attended the bride, dressed in dusky pink with hat to match. Mr. Wm. Berry, of Shelburne, was best man. Miss Velma Burrows played the wedding music and during the signing of the register Mrs. Barkley sang "O Promise Me." After the reception the bridal couple left amid showers of confetti and good wishes to points unknown. On their return they will reside on the groom's farm at Hall's Corners, near Shelburne.
