Raymond Miller Obituary

MILLER Raymond C. Raymond C. Miller, 86, passed away in Kingston of Sylvania on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. He was born in Toledo on July 5, 1927, to Marie and Charles Miller. Ray served his country honorably during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He attended the University of Toledo. Ray operated Miller Chemical, was employed by The Better Business Bureau of Northeast Ohio, and later started Miller Business Services. Ray was a very proud American and instilled in his four sons his patriotic qualities. He was a very avid golfer, loved photography, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his sons, Mark (Bridget) Miller, Scott (Betty) Miller, Mathew (Vicki) Miller, Charles (Becky) Miller; grandchildren, Sean, Emily, Lindsey, Cassie, Chas, Zach, Josh; great-grandchildren, Alex and Evan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Miller in 1998; brother, Jim Miller, and sister, Jeanne Metter. Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Ray's life on Friday, August 23, 2013, from 12 noon - 4 p.m. at the Tamaron Country Club, 2162 W. Alexis Road. Eileen E. Stevens Becomes Bride of Raymond C. Miller
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond C Miller, who were married recently in Trinity Episcopal Church, will live at 3840 Homewood Ave. after an eastern trip.

The bride, the former Eileen E. Stevens, daughter of Mrs. Harold G. Stevens, Euclid Ave., and the late Mr. Stevens, was given in marriage by her brother, Robert T. Stevens She wore a gown of chantilly lace over satin.

Mrs. Robert Stevens was matron of honor. Jean Grappy was maid of honor. Bridemaids were Betty Sloan and Mary Hatfield. All wore gowns of iridescent navy blue silk, with bare tops and attached stoles. They wore navy nose veils tield with cherry ice carnations. Susan Stevens, niece of the bride, and Cherie Miller, niece of the bridegroom, were flower girls.

Neil Miller, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Guests were seated by Thomas Duhigg, Richard Gordan, Henry Siek and Richard Denman.
