PACE, Albert Bert Tuesday, February 17, 2004, after a courageous battle with lung disease. Albert Henry Pace, age 58. Best friend and beloved husband of Crystal. Loving father of Shelley (Robert Labelle) and Albert (Cathy Simpson). Proud grandfather of Jade, Kelsey, Bobby, and Logan. Son-in-law of Mary Suter of Richmond Hill. Sadly missed by his brothers and sisters Norma Geauvreau (Jerome Dion) of Kitchener, Leo T. Petahtegoose (Susan) of Maidstone, Andrew Petahtegoose (Bernadette Boyer) of Mississauga First Nation, Jim Petahtegoose (Teresa) of Leamington, Cathy Debassige (Gary Taylor) of Sudbury, Valerie Copegog of Sudbury, and Georgette Petahtegoose (Steven MacIntyre) of Sudbury. Sadly missed by sisters-and-brothers-in-law Ellen Suter (Bob Mitchell), of Bentley, Alberta, Janine Millman (Steve) of Newmarket, Harriet Suter (Bob Walker) of Kincardine, Scott Suter (Cathy) of Newmarket, Beth Bastien of St. Catharines, Florence Petahtegoose of Leamington, and Earl Commanda of Serpent River First Nation. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Bill Bastien, Joe Petahtegoose, and Alden Petahtegoose, and a sister Marilyn Commanda. Bert received his BA in Sociology and Native Studies from Laurentian University. He had a varied career working for Chrysler, INOC, Correctional Services, Customs, and Immigration Canada. As director of the Sudbury Friendship Centre, he obtained capital funding for its current home. Bert loved hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 580 Eagleson Road, Kanata, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday to St. Patrick's Church, 15 Steeple Hill Crescent, Fallowfield, for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10:00 a.m. In Memoriam, donations to the Lung Association or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute appreciated. respects@kellyfh.ca The Ottawa Citizen,
