Kay Stewart Wheeler, 81, of Ashland, Kentucky, wife of Danny Wheeler, died peacefully at her home, Tuesday morning, June 1st, while under hospice care. Kay was born November 7, 1939, in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Lonnie and Bertha Baldridge Stewart. She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a grandson; Josiah Keith Wheeler and a great granddaughter; Neaveh Goodrich. 2 brothers; Burgess and Jack, and 2 sisters; Garnett Sexton and Ann Burnem. Surviving, in addition to her husband, include 2 sons; Rev. Stuart Wheeler, and wife Mary Anne, of Phoenix, Arizona. Keith Wheeler, and wife Rhetta Ann, of Rapid City, South Dakota. A daughter; Vicki Lynn McLean, and husband Bradley, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky. 9 grandchildren; Lewis Wheeler, Caleb Wheeler, Elizabeth Goodrich, Morganne Pickett, Grace Wheeler, Elena Wheeler, Charity Letonek, Luke McLean, Mark McLean, and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, June 4th, at 1:00 PM by her family at PRESTON FAMILY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 Noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Kay’s memory to The Gideon’s International, P.O. Box 34714 Bartlett, TN 38184.
