Charlotte Ruby Moore Cartmel, 81, of Catlettsburg, KY passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at Community Hospice Care Center, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Cartmel was born April 3, 1938 in Jasper, OH to the late Elden and Mattie George Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Raymond “Hap” Cartmel, and three brothers, Curt Moore, Charles Moore and James Gibson.
Charlotte was a dedicated homemaker who loved her family, Church, and singing.
Surviving are her children, Paul R. Cartmel, his wife Kim, of Catlettsburg and Deborah Harris, her husband Mike, of Catlettsburg, grandchildren, Paul Alex Cartmel, Jesse Cartmel, Jeff Akers, Bobbie Harris Stapleton and Mike Harris, Jr, and seven great grandchildren. Additional survivors are brothers, Danny Gibson (Linda of Catlettsburg, KY, Dennis Gibson (Wanda) of Catlettsburg, KY, Glen Gibson of Louisa, KY, Fred Gibson, of Louisa, KY, Bill Gibson of Kenova, WV, sisters, Greta Grayson (Jack) of Catlettsburg, KY, Pauletta McNabb (John) of Louisa, KY, Sharon Tooley of Gate City, MO and Helen Ferrell of Catlettsburg, KY.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Cartmel will be at 12:00pm, Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, 2702 Panola Street, Catlettsburg. Pastor Mac Ferrell and Pastor Noah Wilks will officiate. Final resting place in Hap’s Memorial Garden beside her beloved husband. Visiting hours begin at 11am until time of Service Thursday at the Funeral Home.
