Shelburne Free Press - May 19, 1938 - SARAH CAROLINE MARSHALL LITTLE: A highly respect resident of Mono Township, Sarah Caroline Marshall, widow of the late William J. Little passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Gibson Richardson, on Thursday May 10th, 1938 in her 78th year after an illness of six weeks. Deceased was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marshall pioneers of Dundalk community. Mrs. Little was a member of the Anglican Church all her life having attended the first Anglican service held in the Dundalk district. She was married to William J. Little in 1883 and spent most of her married life in Mono Township. Her husband predeceased her in 1907. She is survived by four children: R. J., Albert and Millie (Mrs. Gibson Richardson) of Mono, and Hazel (Mrs. Ivan Gamble) of Parkbeg Saskatchewan. There were twenty-seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. W. J. Mossip of Stoughton Saskatchewan. The service which was largely attended was conducted by Rev. G. P. Parson, rector of St. James church, Primrose, and was held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gibson Richardson, on Sunday, May 22nd. Interment was made in Shelburne Cemetery. The pallbearers were six grandsons: Harvey, Daniel, Clifford and Collins Little and Billy and Lloyd Richardson. The floral tributes were carried by eight nephews. Among those who attended the funeral were friends from Dundalk, Ravenna, Newton Robinson, Flesherton, Toronto and Parkbeg Saskatchewan.
