MAHARG, Mary Bernice - Bernice passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Shelburne Residence, Shelburne on February 25, 2013 in her 96th year. Bernice was a retired caterer "The Rosemont Ladies", seamstress, a very involved person with her family, church, community and many organizations. Beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Madill. Loved mom of Jo-Anne and Paul Dreyer, and Paul Madill. Loved grandma of Tarah and Marco Bonsi, Robyn and Chris Wallace, Travis and Tina Dreyer, Adam and Carolyn Madill, and Nicole Dreyer and Justin Fraser. Loved great grandma of Jacob and Daniel Bonsi, James Dreyer, Beth, Jack and Isabelle Wallace, Morgan Dreyer, Alexis, Aiden, Gavin and Logan Madill. Predeceased by siblings Elwood, Milford (Marjory) and Melita and her parents George and Mary Maharg. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. A service of celebration will be held at Trinity Centennial United Church, east of Rosemont, on Saturday March 2, 2013 at 2 o'clock with visitation commencing at 12 noon. Interment Alliston Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Centennial United Church Memorial Fund or a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to the W. Article Page 5, 1940 - Front Page - CAMILLA NEIGHBORS HONOR NEWLY-WEDDED COUPLE: On Thursday evening, Nov. 28th, upwards of two hundred friends and neighbors assembled to do honor to Miss Bernice Maharg and Mr. Robert Madill, Camilla, whose marriage took place on Saturday. The evening was pleasantly spent in dancing to music provided by Dermott's orchestra. Later, Mr. Wilfred McKim called the gathering to order and the guests of honor were showered with many beautiful gifts. Miss Elma Parson read an appropriate address, after which the young couple thanked their many friends. Congratulatory speeches were given by Rev. T. V. Hart, Mr. Fred Thompson and Mr. Robert Forsythe, the last named having come from Archydale, Sask. recently to spend the winter in Orangeville and vicinity. Lunch was served and dancing resumed for a few pleasant hours.
