It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Al Pollock, formerly of Sherwood Park, AB, on Thursday, August, 8, 2013 at the age of 66 years. Al passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Al was predeceased by his loving wife of 42 years, Bonnie; and his parents Margaret and Murray. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Brent (Katherine) and Wendy (Michael); and grandchildren Darrian, Reis, Ava and Paige. He also leaves to mourn his brother, William (Kathleen); his sister Faye; and his partner Arlene; along with numerous other family and friends.
A Celebration of Al's life will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 2:30 – 5:00 p.m. at the Sherwood Park Log Cabin (50 Spruce Avenue). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Al's memory to Edmonton's Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation (www.stollerykids.com or 780-433-5437).
Al's family wishes to extend special thanks to the nursing staff on the third floor at Kootenay Lake Hospital for the compassionate care he received throughout his stay. Condolences, thoughts and memories may be sent to InMemoryofAl@shaw.ca
