TEGART, Thomas Kenneth - Age 83, of Grand Blanc, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2004 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Church of Christ Scientist or the Charity of Choice. Thomas was born December 19, 1920 in Toronto Ontario, Canada, the son of Thomas W. and Mae (Spink) Tegart. He moved to the Flint area when he was 4 years old and became an American citizen. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a first Sergeant in the medical core. In 1942 he married Violet Beatrice Emens in Flint. He retired after 30 years from the Chevy V8 plant and was a member of UAW #659. Thomas loved to winter in New Smyrna Beach, Florida and to travel. Surviving are wife of 62 years, Violet B. Tegart; daughter, Pamela (Doyne) Beckley; son-in-law, Ronald (Dawn) Snyder; 5 grandchildren, Tamara Snyder, Sean Beckley, Brent Snyder, Jarad Snyder and Heather (Harry) Janiski; 1 brother, David (Alma) Tegart. He was preceded in death by a daughter Penelope A. Snyder and a brother Cecil Tegart.
