Ronald Snyder Obituary

SNYDER, Ronald James of Saginaw, MI. Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully Sunday, October 2, 2011, at his home after a long courageous battle with his health. Ron was born December 13, 1942, in Owosso, Michigan to the late Clifford and Letha (Holbrook) Snyder. As a young child he moved to California and after his time in the Army he moved back to Michigan. Ron retired as a dispatcher for Consumers Energy after 35 years of service. Ron enjoyed sports, working out in his yard, gardening, and playing cards with friends. He is survived by his loving wife Dawn (Durow) Taylor-Snyder; his children: Tamara (Daniel) Chalk, Brent (Amy) Snyder, and Jarad (Sara) Snyder; step-children, Michelle (Brian) Revette, Kyle (Rebecca) Bauer; his grandchildren that were the loves of his life: Isaac, Emmett, and Jonah Snyder, Kayla and Evan Revette, Kyra and Paige Bauer; his sister-in-law, Pamela Beckley; and many great friends and extended family. Ron was predeceased by his grandson, Magnus Snyder; a sister Judy (Lance) Banks; brother-in-law, Doyne Beckley; in-laws, T Kenneth and Violet Tegart; and his previous wife Penelope (Tegart) Snyder. Per Ron's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2011, at Freeland United Methodist Church 205 E. Washington in Freeland. Pastor James Rule will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Road from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Freeland United Methodist Church or a charity of donor's choice. www.casefuneralhome.com
