General Notes:
Jarad was born May 24, 1977 to the late Ronald and Penelope (Tegart) Snyder in Saginaw, MI. He attended Heritage High School and then went on to Central Michigan University. For the last several years he has worked for Consumers Energy in Lansing, MI. In 2007, he married the love of his life, Sara (Blocher) Snyder and has 2 children Jonah and Lydia who survive him.
Jarad is a man who exemplifies love and gratitude in every possible way. He touched the lives of many with his humor, love for music, enthusiasm for sports, and ability to support with clarity anyone who needed it. Jarad was a dedicated father and husband. The gifts he gave those who knew him, are those that are without end.
He was preceded in death by his son, Magnus Snyder, his parents, Ron and Penelope (Tegart) Snyder, and his grandparents, Kenneth and Violet Tegart.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, Sara (Blocher); children, Jonah and Lydia; brother, Brent (Amy) Snyder; sister, Tamara (Dan) Chalk; step-mother, Dawn Snyder; in-laws, Steve and Chris Blocher; brothers-in-law, Steven Blocher and Scott (Rachel) Blocher; nieces and nephews, Isaac and Emmett Snyder, Meredith Chalk, and Eleanor Blocher; and countless loving friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1pm at Eagle Eye Golf Club, 15500 Chandler Rd., East Lansing, MI 48823.
An opportunity to share your favorite stories/memories of Jarad will be part of the service. In addition, we’d like to invite you to write letters to our children about your favorite stories/memories, or the way Jarad touched your lives. This is an effort to help Jarad’s children know him as you did. Sara will compile your letters into a keepsake book for his children. Letters can be mailed to the Snyder Family, 16701 Sundew Cr, East Lansing, MI 48823.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Daggett in Jarad’s honor. Camp Daggett was a special place to Jarad, and it is one we hope our children will enjoy in years to come. Contributions can be sent to Camp Daggett, 03001 Church Rd, Petoskey, MI 49770.
