  General Notes:

SHAW- George Lawrence of RR#5, St. Thomas passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the age of 81. George is survived by his wife Betty Jean (BJ) Shaw (nee Martindale); by his son Mike (Cheryl) and his daughter Laura of St. Thomas; by his brother Larry (Elaine); his sister Marie Turvey (late Bill); his sister-in-law Lorna Shaw (late Dennie); and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Carl and Marie Shaw, and by his brother Morris (Joan). George loved going out for lunch and playing cards with his friends. He was a member of the St. Thomas Golf & Country Club and the St. David’s Masonic Lodge #302. George was very proud of being a part of the Shaw’s Ice Cream family business. A private family gathering was held prior to cremation. A memorial service to celebrate George’s life will be held at the Masonic Centre of Elgin on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 12:00-2:00 pm, with words of remembrance being shared at 2:00 pm.
