GWEN ELGIE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Elgie, Shelburne, graduated from Osler School of Nursing, Weston, at Weston Collegiate Institute, on July 20th. Family and friends attended the ceremony. Gwen will be employed at Dufferin Area Hospital.

On Saturday, September 11, 1976, at 5 p.m. Gwendolyn Elizabeth Elgie. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Elgie, Shelburne, was united in marriage to Mr. James Knox Henry, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Henry, Orangeville.
The garden wedding took place at the Elgie's home at Duneden with Rev. Norman Green officiating.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a full length satin gown trimmed with lace and carried red roses. The groom was attired in a pale blue tuxedo and wore a red rose.
The bride's sister, Nancy Conner, was matron of honour and wore a blue floral gown. The groomsman was Jim Calbeck of Orangeville, friend of the groom.
The bride's mother wore a nylon gown with toffee roses.
The groom's mother wore a yellow knit gown with yellow roses.
The reception and dance were held in their home. The master of ceremonies was Don McCutcheon, uncle of the bride.
The couple are residing in Orangeville.
Henry, Gwen (R.N.) peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer at Dufferin Area Hospital on Monday, September 6, 1993 in her 42nd year. Beloved wife of Jim and loving mother of Jeff and Kim. Dear daughter of Wallace and Barbara Elgie and sister of Nancy, Larry and John. The family received friends at the Doney Funeral Home, Shelburne on Tuesday afternoon and evening. The funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, September 8, 1993 at 1:00 p.m.
